Media company ProSiebenSat.1’s sports business unit, 7Sports, has acquired the exclusive German broadcast rights to this season’s BLAST Pro Series Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? (CS:GO) tournaments.

ProSiebenSat.1 signed a licensing agreement with BLAST Pro Series owner, RFRSH Entertainment?. ProSieben MAXX, a free-to-air channel targeted at men, will broadcast the first event of the season this weekend from S?o Paulo, Brazil. Eight BLAST Pro Series tournaments are planned for 2019, and future events will be broadcast on TV and online.

Each BLAST Pro Series tournament has a $250K USD prize pool and features six teams: five of the world’s top CS:GO squads along with the best local team from the host region. After Brazil, the next event takes place in Miami, Florida, in April. ProSieben MAXX will also broadcast from that event. Additionally, the network’s ran eSports: Professional. Gaming.
